Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has expressed regret on the death of Sir Dele Ige, the younger brother of the late former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Bola Ige.
The Governor also expressed his condolence on the demise of Pa Jimoh Ojudu, the father of the Senator representing Ekiti Central in the
National Assembly, Babafemi Ojudu.
Fayemi in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Olayinka Oyebode, said Sir Dele Ige displayed a rare courage after the assassination of his elder brother on December 23, 2001.
He noted that Sir Dele served as the rallying point in the Ige family and was always ready to provide counsel when needed.
Fayemi expressed dismay that Sir Dele died without the privilege of seeing killers seeing the killers of his brother brought to justice.
The Governor prayed God to grant the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss.
Lamenting on the death of Pa Ojudu, Fayemi described the deceased as a devout Muslim and a committed community leader who touched lives
positively in his lifetime.
He described Pa Ojudu as a courageous man who was always on hand to offer counsel to the younger generation.
The Governor stated that the octogenarian taught his son, Senator Ojudu virtues of courage and selflessness which the latter displayed
as a fearless journalist who used his pen to fight for the enthronement of democracy.
He urged the Ojudu family to be consoled that the deceased lived fulfilled life and handed down legacies of hard work and commitment.
