Free Health Mission Will Be A Continous Exercise – Fasubaa

Fifth edition of the free health mission.

Ekiti  State Commissioner for Health, Prof.  Olusola Fasubaa  has assured that the free health mission initiated by  the Fayemi-administration would be a continuous  exercise.
Prof.  Olusola Fasubaa  who gave the assurance while featuring on Day Break Nigeria, a current affairs programme on the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State Television said that Free Health  Mission which is one of the cardinal programmes of the Fayemi administration is aimed at boosting the health status of the people with a view to increasing their productivity through sound health.
The commissioner affirmed that the programme would apart from taking care of the immediate health needs of the people also serve as capacity building mechanism for the health workers that are participating in the 10- day programme.
He also explained that it was also a way of equipping the health facilities designated for the programme as drugs, medicaments and
other equipment used during the programme would fortify the drug stores of the various health centres in the state.
According to him, the Fayemi-led administration in Ekiti State would vigorously pursue a Primary Healthcare Intervention Programme aimed at
providing free medical diagnostic and treatment services to the people of Ekiti State in grassroots communities.
Prof. Fasubaa used the forum to urge the people of rural communities in the state to take advantage of the free health mission to take care
of themselves stressing that identified cases requiring further treatment would be referred to secondary health care centres for effective treatment and management.
The 10-day programme is being organized by the  Ekiti  state ministry of health in conjunction with Development Support Initiative.
