Ekiti To Assess Performance Of 2012 Budget

Ekiti State Government is to review its 2012 Budget to assess its performance in the first five months of the year.
A statement from the State Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning indicates that the review which would be based on the concept of 5+7 is designed to measure the level of performance of the State budget in the first five months of 2012 with a view to planning for the remaining seven months of the year and adjust its pattern in line with revenue and expenditure realities.
The statement enjoins all Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government in the state to turn in their returns on revenue and expenditure between January and May 2012.
It added that  the Budget review exercise is scheduled to hold on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th June, 2012  at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Education, State Secretariat Complex in Ado – Ekiti commencing from 10.00am each day.
The review exercise is expected to be presided over by the State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mr Debo Ajayi  while Accounting Officers of MDAs are to lead their officials to the venue of the exercise the statement said .
