Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi has appealed to expectant mothers in the State to ensure that they attend ante-natal clinics regularly from the early stage of their pregnancies.
Erelu Fayemi made the appeal at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado – Ekiti where she visited four mothers of multiple birth babies delivered in the hospital.
The governor’s wife noted that if pregnant women attend ante-natal clinics regularly and at the appropriate health facilities, they will deliver safely and have healthy babies.
While wishing the families of the new babies God’s blessings, Erelu Fayemi prayed that the children will grow up to be sources of blessing and joy to them.
Erelu Fayemi later gave financial assistance to mothers of the new babies.
Responding, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Patrick Adegun commended the present administration in the state for making health care delivery one of the key points of its agenda.
Dr. Adegun promised that the hospital would continue to break more grounds in its health care delivery to the people.
Showing her appreciation, the mother of the triplets, Mrs. Aderemi Adigun thanked the Governor’s Wife for the love and care she had
always shown women in the state.
The hospital has taken delivery of one triplet and three twins in the last one week.
