EKSG Approves N277 Million For The Rehabilitation Of Oke-Oro – Ilukuno – Ipoti Road

Rehabilitation of Aromoko-Ijero-Ido Road (After)

Ekiti State Government has approved the rehabilitation of Oke – Oro- Ilukuno – Ipoti road in Ijero Local Government at the sum of over 277 million naira.

Speaking to journalists after the weekly State Executive Council meeting, the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Hon. Funminiyi Afuye said the Council also approved the reconstruction of a single span 15- Metre Bridge along Erinmope-Otun-Kwara State border
road at a cost of over 141million naira as a result of the collapse of the existing bridge.

The Government Spokesman stated that the Council further approved the procurement of towing vehicles for the Ekiti State Traffic Management Agency (ESTMA) to aid the effective operations of the Agency in clearing highways of obstructions and reducing incidences of road traffic accidents in the State.

A Memorandum on a bill for Ekiti State Land use charges 2012 was also approved for consideration and passage into law by the Ekiti State House of Assembly. The bill, aimed at consolidating the several land based rates and charges into a single charge collectable on all taxable land and buildings when passed into law, will harmonise and prevent the
duplication of revenue collection in land related matters in the State.
