EKSG To Maintain Conducive Teaching & Learning Environment In Public Schools

Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has said that his administration would not be distracted from its resolve to maintain a conducive teaching and -learning environment in public schools in the state.

Governor Fayemi who gave this assurance during the commissioning ceremony of the New office complex of the West African Examinations
Council (WAEC) in Ado Ekiti, stressed that government will continue to pay attention to development of infrastructures and other facilities that may assist in raising the standard of education in the state.

The Governor who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs. Bimpe Aderiye also
assured that the state government would continue to pay the WAEC fees of all SS 3 students in public secondary schools to ensure that education is accessible to all and sundry in the state.

He however emphasized that his administration would not tolerate any form of examination malpractices, adding that the state government
would not allow miracle centres to thrive in the state.

Fayemi assured that capacity building of teachers in the state embarked upon by his administration would boost their morale and enhance their productivity.
He charged the management of WAEC to map out strategies that would totally eliminate examination malpractices in the country
