Fayemi Attributes Peaceful Atmosphere In Ekiti To People’s Support

Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has attributed the relative peaceful atmosphere in the State to the massive support of the people
for the developmental strides of his administration.
Speaking during the Juma’at service held at the Central Mosque in Ado Ekiti to commemorate the year 2013 Armed Forces and Remembrance Day Celebrations, Dr. Fayemi assured that his administration will continue to justify the confidence reposed in it and would leave no stone unturned to protect lives and property of the people.
The Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Ganiyu Owolabi, however solicited for the continued
prayers and support of the people towards ensuring the success of the administration.
He enjoined people in the state to be security conscious and provide useful information that would assist in developing the state and
maintaining security.
In his sermon, the Chairman, Council of Imam and Alfa in Ekiti State, Alhaji Jamiu Kewulere called on the Federal Government to look into
the welfare of members of the Nigerian Legion and the military as part of efforts at curbing security challenges confronting some parts of
the country.
The Chairman of the Nigerian Legion in Ekiti State, Col. Richard Ogunboyo (Rtd), expressed gratitude to the state government for its
support for the ex-servicemen since inception of the Fayemi administration.
Col. Ogunboyo however called on local governments to emulate the good gesture of the state government by providing adequate welfare packages
for members of the legion in their various councils.
