An Administrative Panel of enquiry set up by the State government to look into the allegation of illegal withdrawal of funds from the Local Government accounts has submitted its report to the Ekiti State Ministry of Local Government and Community Development.
Presenting the report of the panel of enquiry to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry , Mr Ayodeji Ajayi in Ado-Ekiti, the Chairman of the Panel, Mr. Kunle Falope said the panel had adhered strictly to all its terms of reference in arriving at its recommendations.
Mr. Falope who thanked the state government for giving the committee members opportunity to serve, opined that if the recommendations in the report were adopted and implemented, it would enhance smooth running of local governments administration in the state.
Responding, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mr. Ayodeji Ajayi thanked the committee for the comprehensive report submitted.
Mr. Ajayi who stressed that members of the committee were carefully selected based on their patriotism, honesty and experience, promised that the report will be carefully studied for implementation.
The Permanent Secretary who explained that service delivery at the local governments was at the lowest ebb before the advent of Governor Fayemi-led administration, expressed the believe that the report would fine-tune the transformation strategies at the third tier of government.
