Ekiti SUBEB Goes Tough On ETF Projects

February 27, 2013

The Chairman of the Ekiti state Universal Basic Education Board, Professor Modupe Adelabu has issued a 7-day Ultimatum to contractors handling the Education Tuist Fund (ETF) projects in the state to meet the 50% completion target or have their contract terminated.

Prof. Adelabu gave this warning in Ado Ekiti during a meeting with all contractors handling ETF projects in the state.
The Chairman who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Board, Dr. Eunice Dada noted that lapses caused by a defaulting contractor would affect the payment of other contractors.

The SUBEB boss therefore charged all stakeholders to counsel one another in order to ensure that all projects were promptly completed
to specification. She stressed that the board would also severely sanction all defaulters adding that the names of all blacklisted contractors would also be published in the National newspapers as well as announced widely on the electronic media.

Prof. Adelabu however commended the contractors that have reached the 50% of their projects and worked to specification stressing the need for them to sustain the tempo.
