Teachers’ Effectiveness, Stakeholders’ Support: Key To Good Quality Education

The Ekiti State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Kehinde Ojo has stressed that good quality education depends on the effectiveness of teachers and the support of all stakeholders.
Speaking in Ado-Ekiti during a familiarisation tour of departments, agencies and parastatals under the supervision of the State Ministry of Education, Mr. Ojo reiterated the resolve of the Fayemi led administration to continually respect the wishes of all stakeholders in the sector.

The Commissioner assured that all outstanding promotion exercises of teaching and non teaching staff would be cleared this year, noting that the present administration considered teachers to be very important in its plan to return education to its pride of place in the comity of states.
He however enjoined teachers and other stakeholders to join hands with the administration and support the effort at taking education to a greater height.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the State Teaching Service Commission, Prince Bayo Adeniran said the commission places a lot of emphasis on monitoring of schools towards achieving desire results.
Prince Adeniran however noted that the dearth of monitoring vehicles for proper inspection of public secondary schools has considerably hindered the activities of the commission.
He therefore called on the State Commissioner to assist in providing all required logistic support to enhance efficiency.

At the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), the Chairman of the board, Prof. Modupe Adelabu pledged to work assiduously towards achieving the goals of the Fayemi led administration.
