Oke Tasks Rural Dwellers On Project Monitoring

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development and Community Empowerment, Mrs. Adesola Oke has rounded off her inspection tour of rural development projects in the sixteen local government areas of Ekiti State with a call on all stakeholders to strictly monitor the progress of the projects in their respective areas in order to ensure that the jobs are done to specification and delivered on schedule.

Mrs. Oke also called on the rural dwellers to form Cooperative Societies to enable them key into the various empowerment programmes of the state government.
The Permanent Secretary, who reiterated the commitment of the present administration to extend its transformation agenda to the rural areas, emphasized that government is providing necessary infrastructure in the rural areas to boost farm produce.

She stressed the need for all stakeholders to strictly supervise the projects in their areas, adding that nobody should cover up any contractor that performed below expectation.
The areas visited are Gbeyanlumi and Ga Irase in Moba local government area as well as Aba Dam in Itapaji, Ikole local government area.
