E.U Delegation To Visit Ekiti

In furtherance to the approval given Ekiti State on the European Union Water Supply and Sanitation III project, a delegation of the European Union (E.U.) will be visiting the state from Monday March ll to Wednesday March 13, 2013.
According to a statement from the Office of the Special Adviser on Infrastructure and Public Utilities, the visit of the E.U will afford the team the opportunity to discuss the nationally acclaimed reform in the water and sanitation sector in the state.

The statement explained that the E.U delegation will also hold meetings with the Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Mr. Kayode Jegede, NGOs and other stakeholders in the water and sanitation sector.
It added that the team will visit dams and other water projects to assess progress and achievements recorded so far by the state government.

It could be recalled that Adamawa, Ekiti and Plateau states have been considered for assistance by the E.U. under the Water Supply and Sanitation (WSS) III Project.
