EKSG Re-States Commitment To Even Distribution Of Amenities Across The State

Ekiti State Government has said that the autonomy recently granted to five communities in the state was borne out of the desire to evenly spread amenities and development across the state in the spirit of fairness and equity Speaking during an advocacy tour to Kota, Omuo Oke, Orun, Ejiyan and Ijero, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Chieftaincy, Mr. Remi Ajayi stressed the commitment of the state government to maintaining peace, law and order in the communities.

Ajayi explained that the visit was to authenticate the Chieftaincy declaration forwarded to the state government for approval.
The Special Adviser who spoke through the Director, Bureau of Chieftaincy, Mr. Micheal Boluwade said that government has commenced the process of allowing the communities select their substantive traditional rulers.
He charged the communities to reciprocate government’s good gesture by maintaining peace, stressing that rapid development could only be achieved in a peaceful atmosphere.

The communities which received the Special Adviser and his team warmly, were full of praises and appreciation to the Fayemi led administration for granting them autonomy.
At Omuo Oke, a Community Leader, High Chief Adebayo Otitoju gave kudos to Governor Kayode Fayemi for giving autonomy to his community.
The Leader of Kota Community, High Chief Ojo Fagbemi and his counterpart from Orun Ekiti, Chief Adebayo Osalusi pledged the total support of their community for the present administration.
The Leaders of Ejiyan and Ijero, Chief Kayode Osayomi and Chief Tope Ogunleye also expressed appreciation to the state government and pledged their continued support for efforts at developing the state.
