Shop owners whose stalls were demolished to give way for the Urban Renewal project in Ado Ekiti and traders currently located along the newly reconstructed Post Office/Baptist Church dual carriage road have been directed to immediately relocate to the new Awedele Neighbourhood market behind Oodua Enterprises along Iyin Road.
Charting with journalists in Ado Ekiti on the progress of the Urban Renewal programme, the State Commissioner for Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr. Remi Olorunleke said that the new market was ready for use.
Mr. Olorunleke reiterated the commitment of the Government to the on-going beautification of the state, stressing the need for all stakeholders to support the project towards ensuring its success by complying with all necessary directives.
Stressing that the relocation exercise would commence immediately, the Commissioner warned that anybody found displaying wares along the restricted areas would henceforth be apprehended and be made to face the wrath of the land.
