Commissioner Charges Contractors On Beautification Projects

The Commissioner for Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr. Remi Olorunleke has charged contractors handling
beautification projects across Ado metropolis to expedite action on the completion of the projects.
Speaking during a meeting with the contractors in Ado – Ekiti, Mr. Olorunleke expressed displeasure at the slow pace of work of the
contractors.
The Commissioner who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry urged the contractors handling the projects to abide by specifications and the terms of contractual agreement on the projects.
He noted that thirty percent of the total sum of the contracts have been paid to the contractors as mobilisation fees assuring that the remaining money will be paid when the contracts are delivered.

Responding on behalf of other contractors, Mr. Joshua Adeola, Niyi Ayeleso and Mr. Godwin called on government to assist them financially to enable them deliver their contracts within the next one month.
