Prof. Adelabu Lauds Fayemi’s Economic Policy

Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Professor Modupe Adelabu has lauded the economic policy and implementation strategy of Governor Kayode Fayemi administration, describing it as the force behind the tremendous improvement in the internally generated revenue, IGR of the state.

Professor Adelabu made the remark while speaking to journalists at the 2nd Executive/Legislative Parley in Ekiti State held at the Warm Spring Resorts, Ikogosi-Ekiti.

She noted that the Ekiti State government has been judicious and prudent in the utilization of the IGR and other fund at its disposal to bring unprecedented infrastructural developments that are evident in all the nooks and crannies of Ekiti State.

The Deputy Governor disclosed that part of the issues tackled in the Executive/Legislative Parley was how to foster a more harmonious synergy between the two arms of government that will facilitate rapid implementation of the 8 Point Agenda.

Professor Adelabu who stressed the need for the people to sustain their support for the administration by paying their taxes and other dues as and when due, also urged the Board of Internal Revenue and revenue officers to improve their strategy and campaign to create a better awareness among the people on the need to pay taxes.
