TSC Directs Bursars On Salary Vouchers Submission

Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission has directed bursars of Public Secondary Schools to submit the monthly salary vouchers of
their respective schools to the Commission on or before the 5th day of every successive month.

Speaking in Ado-Ekiti during a meeting with the bursars, the Chairman of the State Teaching Service Commission, Prince Bayo Adeniran said that prompt submission of the vouchers would allow for their timely processing at both the Commission and the Ministry of Finance.

Prince Adeniran who spoke through the Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Mr. Bolu Ogundare stressed that prompt submission of monthly salary vouchers would enable the state government keep proper account of salaries of both teaching and non-teaching staff in the state public secondary schools.

The Chairman also directed them to ensure regular submission of payment vouchers of allowances of Corps members serving in their schools to ensure the prompt payment of their monthly stipend.

Warning that any bursar that is found wanting would be severely sanctioned, Adeniran advised those affected by the recent re-distribution exercise to immediately report at their new duty posts.

Responding on behalf of others, the Bursar of Christ Girls’ School, Ado-Ekiti, Mr. Rotimi Akinwande who commended the state government for prompt payment of salaries to all staff of the public secondary schools, stressed that all the directives will be followed accordingly.
