EKSG Distributes N4 million Worth Materials To Rainstorm Victims.

In fulfillment of its commitment to share in the plights of the people the Ekiti State government has distributed building materials worth N4 million naira to thirty people, whose houses were affected by rainstorm in Oye-Ekiti.

Distributing the materials to the beneficiaries at the Oye Local Government Civic Center in Oye-Ekiti, the Deputy Governor, Professor Modupe Adelabu who sympathized with the victims on behalf of the Governor noted that the people actually have reasons to thank God despite what happen to them because they did not lose their lives to the incident.

The Deputy Governor who was represented by her Special Adviser, Honorable Bamitale Oguntoyinbo said Governor Kayode Fayemi is a leader with human feeling who will always do whatever in his power to assuage the sufferings of the people and that was why the 8 Point Agenda of his administration is designed to eradicate all forms of poverty and sufferings from the state.

She urged the people to continue to support and pray for the government so that the governor will be able to deliver more dividend of democracy and take the state to the next level of advance development.

Also speaking, the General Manager of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Mr. Femi Osasona explained that apart from the bundles of iron roofing sheets, packets of nails and planks distributed to the victims, cash palliatives will also be given to them to help them pay the artisans that will repair their houses.

He disclosed that relieve materials worth N300 million were recently distributed in Ido/Osi Local Government to rainstorm victims in Ilogbo-Ekiti and that very soon, it will be the turn of victims in Okemesi-Ekiti , in Ekiti West Local Government Area while imploring every other victims who are yet to receive their own materials to be patient as it will soon be their turn.
