Ekiti State Commissioner for Health, Professor Olusola Fasuba has said that the new General Hospital named after the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti,
Oba Rufus Adejugbe which is currently under construction will be commissioned in October during the celebration of the 3rd year anniversary of the Fayemi led administration.
Prof. Fasubaa who dropped the hint in Ado-Ekiti added that two new General Hospitals will also be constructed in Ilawe and Iye Ekiti before the end of the year.
Reiterating the commitment of the present administration to the provision of adequate health care facilities for the people of the state, the Commissioner said that the state government would commence renovation of the twenty other General Hospitals across the state.
He urged all stakeholders to reciprocate government’s gesture and take advantage of available modern equipment and qualified personnel in public health facilities in the state to attend to their health issues.
Professor Fasubaa disclosed that the second half of the collaborative free Health Mission of the Executive and Legislative arms of government will hold between August and September in the outstanding 13 constituencies in the State.
He said that the exercise which will be the eighth edition of theprogramme was not only to treat ailments, but also serves as a platform to build a data base that government can use to plan towards making the state more healthy.
