SSG Tasks Muslims On Ramadan

The secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Ganiyu Owolabi has called on Muslims to take advantage of the opportunity provided by this year’s Ramadan period to renew their faith.

Alhaji Owolabi who made the call in Ado Ekiti advised the Muslim faithful to restrain themselves from worldly issue, aid concentrating on doing good diving the fasting period.

The SSG noted that observing the 30 days annual fast is one of the 5 piillars of Islam, stressing the need for all Muslims to follow the tenets of the religion in order to get the attendant blessings of Allah.

He emphasized that Muslims should use the period to remember their creator, feed the poor, deny themselves of worldly affairs and create more time to attend tafsir.
Alhaji Owolabi also enjoined Muslim across the state to remember to use the period to pray for the people of Ekiti State and the Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi for more wisdom and vigour to continue the unprecedented good work to develop the state.

He assured the Muslim Community of the supports and best wishes of the Fayemi led administration during the fasting period.
