Fayemi Assures Security Agencies Of Support

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has re-assured security agencies in the State of his administration’s cooperation in ensuring the safety of lives and property of the citizenry.
The Governor gave the assurance while receiving the Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr Ade Abolurin, who was accompanied by the State Commandant, Mr Augustus Obiekwe, during a courtesy call to the Governor’s office, Ado Ekiti on Monday.
Governor  Fayemi who commended Abolurin for the visit said the gesture was a sign of commitment to adequate security in all parts of the country.
While stressing that the security of lives and property remained the priority of his government, the Governor noted that the relative peace being enjoyed in the state could not have been possible if not for the support given by the Corps and other security agencies in the state.
Fayemi assured the Commandant General of his government’s support and necessary assistance in discharging the agency’s duties.
Earlier, Dr. Abolurin had lauded the governor for his support for the NSCDC; saying that the synergy between government, citizenry and the security agencies would help maintain a peaceful society.
