Ekiti State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Olusola Fasubaa has charged health workers in the state to always be patient-friendly towards achieving government’s desired goals.
Prof Fasubaa gave the charge at Omuo Ekiti during an on-other sport assessment tour of the on-going 8th edition of the State Free Health Mission organized by the State government in conjunction with a Non-governmental Organization, Development Support initiative (DSI) and sponsored with the constituency project of members of the State House of Assembly.
The Commissioner who reiterated the commitment of the State government to the reduction of maternal and child mortality rate to the barest minimum through the laudable programmes initiated by the present administration.
Assuring that all medical facilities in the State have be properly equipped and shortage of drugs have been made history in the State, PROF. Fasubaa urged the people particularly women and children to always patronize government’s hospitals in order to benefit from the dividends of democracy being provided by the State Government.
In his remarks the member of the House of Assembly representing Ekiti East Constituency ll, Honorable Dele Ajibola commended the State Government for embarking on people oriented programmes.
Hon. Ajibola also expressed appreciation to the State Governor for the autonomy granted to Omuo Oke – Ekiti and pledged the unflinching support of the people in the area for the success of the administration.
In a related development, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health’s, Dr. Folakemi Olomojobi has said that over 15,000 people have benefitted in the ongoing free Health Mission in four constituencies of Moba 1 & 11 as well as Ekiti East 1and ll.
Dr. Olomojobi expressed satisfaction with the turnout recorded adding that programme was going on smoothly.
