” I used to line up with my colleagues to welcome General Adebayo when I was a young child like you. Then I could not even move close or touch the Governor but now you have the opportunity to touch me. I want you to know that the governor is a human being like you. I want you to work hard so that you too can become a governors, senators, professors and great leaders when you grow up”.
This was the counsel of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi to pupils while inaugurating a block of classrooms at St. Michael Nursery and Primary School, Ita- Awure, during his Town Hall meetings in Efon Local Government Area, on Friday.

The Governor who spent about 20 minutes with the pupils also recited a popular Yoruba poem that borders on hard work and greatness, while their teachers expressed surprise that Fayemi could still recite the poem having left elementary school over 30 years ago.
