Ekiti to Celebrate 2013 Youth Week

Activities marking the 2013 Ekiti State Youth Week celebration will commence on Wednesday 13th November, 2013 with a courtesy visit to the State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi by the members of the Nigerian Youth Parliament, members of the Ekiti State Youth Parliament as well as the executive council of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).
A statement from the office of the Commissioner for youth and Sports disclosed that the representatives of the youths will also on the same day, pay a courtesy visit to the State House of Assembly where they are expected to be received by the Speaker, Dr. Adewale Omirin and other members of the House.
According to the statement, there will be a special sitting of the state Youth Parliament at the State House of Assembly in Ado Ekiti on Friday 15th November, 2013.
The statement added that there will be “a day out with the Youths” at 10am on Thursday 21st November, 2013 by the wife of the Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi at the Lady Jibowu Hall, Government House, Ado Ekiti.
It stated that the grand-finale of the events slated to celebrate the Youth Week will commence on Friday 22nd November, 2013 with a walk with Governor Fayemi from Fajuyi Park to the School of Nursing, Ori-Apata in Ado Ekiti and end with an interactive session of the Governor with the youths tagged “Ekiti State in focus” at the School of Nursing.
