An award of Outstanding Performance in Education Administration and Governance was yesterday giving to Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Prof Modupe Adelabu by the Executive Assistants to Governor Kayode Fayemi (EAGs) from the 177 in the Land of Honour State.
Receiving the award in her office in Ado-Ekiti, Prof Adelabu thanked the governor’s aides the Governor, for recognising her efforts and
contribution to education development and good governance in Ekiti.
She described the award as a great motivation to her and will encourage her to do more and continue to give her best to the
development of the state.
Mrs Adelabu commended the EAG for their support and loyalty to the administration of Governor Fayemi, particularly at propagating the good work of the government at the grassroots and for proper coordination of their activities in their various wards.
The Deputy Governor, who said she admires and respect youths who know their onus and strive for excellence in their fields, urged the EAG to sustain their support for the administration and continue to be peaceful in all their conduct and activities.
She said the government will also continue to pursue policies and programmes that will develop the potentials in the youths and make
them productive members of the society.
Presenting the award, the state coordinator of the Executive Assistants to the Governor, Mr. Ajayi Babatude said the group decided to honour the deputy governor with the award because they recognised her good work in the education sector and for being a loyal and
dedicated team mate to Governor Fayemi
He said Prof. Adelabu’s performances at the State Universal Basic Education Board was a clear evidence that she is an educationist with
passion and have shown to the people of Ekiti state that education is an inalienable right of the children and not a mere privilege.
