Ekiti Monarchs Laud Social Security Scheme

The Chairman of the Ekiti State Council of Obas, the Onitaji of Itaji Ekiti in Oye Local Government Area, Oba Adamo Babalola has described the Social Security Scheme of the Fayemi led administration as a life-saving programme that has transformed the lives  of the down trodden.

Oba Babalola made the remark while receiving the State Commissioner for Labour, Productivity and Human Capital Development, Mr. Oluwole Ariyo who paid an advocacy visit to his palace to intimate him on the on-going enumeration exercise embarked upon to accommodate more elderly citizens across the state into the Fayemi-Administration’s social security scheme.

The Monarch expressed appreciation to the state government for caring for the aged and promised to pass the information concerning the criteria for the enlistment across to other Royal Fathers at the next Traditional Council Meeting.
At Ikole Ekiti, the Elekole of Ikole, Oba Adewumi Fasiku commended the leadership quality of Governor Fayemi and described the Social Security Scheme as a masses-oriented programme that will increase the life expectancy of the aged in Ekiti State.
Oba Fasiku urged the state government to consider population as well as the numbers of communities in local government areas as one of the parameters for short listing beneficiaries.

The Monarch pledged the continued support of his people for the present administration in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
