Ekiti Solicits Support of More Development Partners

…..Trains Focal Officers for UNICEF programme.
Ekiti State Government has said that it would welcome all interventions that are designed to improve the lots of the people in the state.

Speaking at a two-day training workshop on Proposal Development and Report Writing on Project Planning and Implementation for Directors in charge of UNICEF assisted programmes in Ekiti State, the State Commissioner for Budget, Economic Planning and Service Delivery, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji  particularly lauded the assistance of UNICEF in the provision of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Ekiti West and Gboyin Local Government Areas under the Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Return Programme (WSSSRPIII).
Mr. Oyebanji who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Sola Folorunso, stressed that government would make Water, Sanitation and Hygiene a priority in the 2014 budget.
The Commissioner said that the workshop was organized to train focal officers and Directors on the required analytical skill required to identify gaps in project implementation as well as technical skill on proposal development.

According to him, the workshop was also designed to provide focal officers and Directors with the technical skill on Report Writing. He expressed hope that the participant s at the workshop would properly utilize knowledge gained to achieve targets.
