Ekiti TESCOM Boss Directs Teachers to Keep Subject Attendance Registers

The Chairman of the Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission, Prince Bayo Adeniran has directed subject teachers in all secondary schools in the state to keep attendance records of students attending their classes on a subject by subject basis.
Prince Adeniran who gave the directive while monitoring some schools in Ado-Ekiti said the class attendance would enable subject teachers monitor the progress of students in their lessons and identify the indolent ones.
The Chairman also urged the teachers to always write their lesson notes starting from the first day of every term to guide them while teaching.
Prince Adeniran who advised teachers to improve on their productivity counselled them against taking too much loans which they might not be able to service conveniently from their salaries.
While pledging the commitment of the Fayemi administration to making the welfare of teachers a priority, the TESCOM Boss urged them to reciprocate the kind gesture by being regular in classes and providing sound education to the students.
Earlier, during the prayer session heralding the New Year at the Teaching Service Commission, the Chairman, Prince Bayo Adeniran charged the staff to be dedicated and committed to their duties.
Prince Adeniran who urged the staff to be honest and faithful to God expressed appreciation to the state government for the provision of car and housing loans for teachers in the state.
The Permanent Secretary in the Commission, Mr. Bolu Ogundare called on the staff to make righteousness and faithfulness their watch-words in the New Year.
He urged them to always obey all the rules and regulations guiding the civil servants and rededicate themselves to the service of the state.
