EKHA Denies Crisis Rumour

February 13, 2013

Ekiti State House of Assembly has denied the rumour that a major crisis was rocking the ranks of its members.

The Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Churchill Adedipe who made the clarification while addressing Journalists in Ado Ekiti, explained that the presence of policemen at the Assembly Complex last week was due to a security report which the executive arm of government promptly acted upon by beefing up security in the complex.

Hon. Adedipe attributed the rumour of rancour within the ranks of members to the handiwork of disgruntled politicians seeking to sow the seed of discord in the House.
He said that no amount of blackmail will distract the present set of lawmakers in their commitment to make Ekiti a better place through purposeful and quality legislation.
He called on all Ekiti indigenes to continue to support the Fayemi led administration towards realising its eight point agenda which is the road map to the development of the state.
The press parley was attended by twenty two out of the twenty six members of the Assembly.
