Ekiti State House of Assembly has passed a bill on the administration and collection of revenue due to the Government of Ekiti State and Local Government Councils.
The bill passed at the House plenary in Ado Ekiti was preceded by the presentation of report of the Committee on Finance and Appropriation, saddled with the responsibility of further work on it.
The Committee Chairman, Hon. Ayodeji Odu said the bill would also make provision for the composition of members of the State Board of Internal Revenue.
Hon. Odu remarked that his Committee was mandated to work on the bill sometimes ago, adding that a public hearing was organised by the Committee to allow stakeholders make inputs into the bill.
The report was accepted as a document of the House and the Clerk, Mr Akintunde Famoyegun read it for the third time.
