Ekiti State Bans The Use Of School Fields For Social Events On Weekdays

Ekiti State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Foluso Daramola has announced the prohibition of the use of public school fields for social parties across the state with immediate effect.
The Commissioner made this known during a chat with Journalists in his office in Ado-Ekiti.

According to him, the ban became imperative to reduce distractions and allow students learn effectively during academic hours. The Commissioner therefore warned individuals not to erect canopies on public schools fields across state until closing hours on Friday.

Mr. Daramola disclosed that the fields can only be used for social engagements on Saturdays and Sundays, adding that violators will be sanctioned in accordance with the law.

The Commissioner however reassured the public that Government will continue to provide necessary interventions and investments in the state’s education sector.
