EKSG Procures 26,230 Length Of 110MM UPVC

As part of efforts to improve supply of potable water in the state, the Ekiti State Government has procured 26,230 length  of 110mm UPVC Pipes under its MDG programme.
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Integration and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mr. Olusesan Alabi made this known while receiving officials of the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President (OSSAP) on MDGs, Abuja who paid him a courtesy visit.
Noting that the 8-Point Agenda of the Fayemi led administration is in tandem with the Millennium Development Goals (MDGS), Mr. Alabi said that it actually took a cue from the global initiative.

The Permanent Secretary highlighted other MDG projects embarked upon by the State Government in 2011 to include the construction of 167 Water Fetching Points; extension of Water Pipeline in the 16 Local Government Areas of the state, construction of 500 cubic-meters ground Level Reservoir at Ilupeju-Ekiti as well as supply and installation of  seven Power Generating Sets.
In his remarks, the Head of the OSSAP team, Mr. Christopher Odiachi, said that the visit was to assess the level of 2011 MDG implementation in the state.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Ekiti State Water Corporation, Engr. Bode Adetunji noted that the state was transparent in implementing the MDG project.
