Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, will on Thursday, January 24th flag off a training and empowerment program for 6,300 youths in the state as part of activities marking his administration’s first 100 days in office.

Dr. Fayemi was inaugurated as Governor of  Ekiti State on October 16, 2018. The administration would be 100 days in office on Thursday.

According to a statement signed by the Chairman, Media and Publicity Sub- Committee of the Central Planning Committee,  Mr Yinka Oyebode, Governor Fayemi will also deliver the “ State of the State” address at the State’s House of Assembly in Ado-Ekiti, on Thursday as part of activities marking the first 100 days.

The State of the State address, will focus on the journey of the past 100 days and the administration’s plans for immediate and future development of the state.

Other program slated for the one- day celebration include the flag off of the New Ado-Iyin road project, a Stakeholders Forum, where representatives of critical stakeholders in the state would interact with the Governor and his team.

The 6,300 youths billed to participate in the training and empowerment program are drawn from all the 16 local government areas of the state. The program is being done in collaboration with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), the statement added.

Governor Fayemi who has opted for a low key celebration, says his vision is to see Ekiti State regain her lost glory through huge investments in education, health care delivery; agricbusiness, youth development, infrastructure and industrial development.

He believes this can be achieved through effective implementation of the four pillars of the administration’s development agenda via: Social Investments,  Knowledge Economy,  Infrastructure and Industrial Development; and Agriculture and Rural Development.

  1. Thank you for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do some research on this. We got a grab a book from our area library but I think I learned more from this post. I’m very glad to see such excellent info being shared freely out there.
