EKSG To Collaborate With Corporate Bodies To Uplift Education

Ekiti State Government has re-affirmed its commitment to cooperate with corporate organisations willing to assist in the development of the State’s education sector.
The Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Professor Modupe Adelabu made the assertion at the foundation- stone-laying ceremony of a block of six classrooms at St. Barnabas Nursery/Primary School, Ado-Ekiti by the Nigerian Breweries Plc.

Prof. Adelabu who was represented by the Full Time Member I of the Board, Mr Bunmi Awotiku, assured that the building when completed would be well maintained for optimum use.
She maintained that education remain the only legacy one could bequeath to the future generation, urging Nigerian Breweries Plc team to replicate the same gesture in other Local Government Education xAreas (LGEAs).
In his remarks, the Public Affairs Manager of Nigerian Breweries Plc in the West/Mid west zone, Mr. Tayo Adelaja said the gesture was in fulfillment of part of the company’s social responsibility, stressing that it was a way of giving back to the society.

Mr. Adelaja stated that the company embarked on the projects across the country and urged other companies to emulate the gesture.
He urged the State Government, the School Authorities and the School Based Management Committee (SBMC) to ensure regular maintenance of the structure for optimal use.
The Public Affairs Manager called on philanthropists and giant companies that had made mark like Nigerian Breweries Plc to allow the public benefit from them by contributing their quota to the growth and development of the society.
