Vision:

To build an effective, competent, efficient and dependable workforce, serving and protecting the integrity of the State Executive Council, the State Security Council and the State Tenders Board.

Mission:

To provide the Governor of the State and his Cabinet with high quality policy advisory services and information leading to sound and timely Cabinet decisions;

To attend to relevant issues towards maintenance of peace and security in the State through effective collaboration with Security Agencies in the State;

To ensure effective implementation of Government policies by the Ministries, Department and Agencies;

To work with the culture of excellence and uncompromised professionalism in service delivery.

Functions

  1. Supports the Cabinet’s constitutional role as the principal instrument of policy making and general direction and control of the Government;
  2. Serves as the Secretariat of the State Executive Council by serving its meetings and proceedings as well as communicating its decisions to Ministries, Department and Agencies as and when due;
  3. Serves as the Secretariat of the State Tenders Board on contract award/related matters;
  4. Serves as the Secretariat of the State Security Council;
  5. Handles matters relating to security of the State;
  6. Processes recruitment of Ekiti indigenes into the Armed forces;
  7. Handles admissions of qualified Ekiti indigenes into the Armed Forces Secondary Schools;
  8. Handles receipt and appraisal of security reports from security Agencies and individuals;
  9. Renders monthly Security and Intelligence Report to the Presidency;
  10. Handles processing of Passport, travel documents and issuance of identification letters to Ekiti State indigenes.

CHANGE OF DATE OF AIR FORCE MILITARY SCHOOL EXAMINATION.

The date of Examination into the JSS 1 Air Force Military School and
Air Force Girls Military School, Jos (AFMS) for 2023/2024 Academic
Session has been changed.

A release from the Office of the Permanent Secretary Cabinet and
Special Services, Mrs Oyeyemi Kayode- Ojo made this known in Ado-
Ekiti.

The statement said that the date of the common Entrance Examination
into JSS 1 which was earlier scheduled for Saturday, 15th April, 2023
has been changed to Saturday, 29th April, 2023 nationwide.

The statement which stressed further that the designated examination
centres remain the same advised those who obtained the form to note
this change.

Nigerian Military School(NMS) Commences Sale Of Entrance Examination Form

The Nigeria military school (NMS) Zaria, Kaduna  State has commenced
registration for entrance examination into JSS 1 for the 2023 -2024
academic session.

A news release from the office of the Permanent Secretary Cabinet and
Special Services, Governors’s Office, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, signed
by Mrs.Oyeyemi Kayode-Ojo
says that the interested candidates are to log on to
www.nms1954.sch.ng/apply and read the instruction therein carefully
before proceeding to press’START’ button.

i.The release stated further that prospective candidates are to follow
steps 1-4 to fill in their required data and click on the ‘GENERATE
FORM’ button to generate candidates form and thereafter open the
Payment Slip page.

II. Payment could be made online using Automated Teller Machine (ATM)
card by clicking”PAY ONLINE” and follow the instructions given while
candidates can also pay directly to the bank by clicking “PAY AT
BANK”and proceed to print the ‘Payment Slip’ which would be used for
payment at any of the designated banks after which candidates would
return to the portal to complete registration.

Amount payable for the registration is Three thousand naira  (#3000) only.

III.The statement further said that any prospective candidate must be
a Nigerian, male of at least 12years Old and female not more than
14years old  by 1st October,2023.

IV. Candidates must have completed primary school education and be
medically and physically fit.

V. All applications must be filled and submitted online.
The Application closes on 2nd May, 2023.

All shortlisted candidates are to report to the examination centre
with a copy of their application form, payment advice slip and a copy
of their photo card.

Girl’s Military


School (AFMS) Jos has commenced the registration
for common entrance

examination
into JSS 1 for the 2023 -2024 academic session.

Kayode-Ojo made it known in Ado -Ekiti.

Mrs. Kayode-Ojo stated that the registration for
the entrance examination

will be done online through the purchase of
scratch cards and question

booklets by interested candidate at the cost of
one thousand five

hundred naira (1500) and five hundred naira (500)
respectively from the

Cabinet and Special Services Department,
Governor’s Office, Ado

-Ekiti, starting from Tuesday 28th March, 2023.

The release stated further that the entrance
examination is scheduled to hold

on 15th April 2023 at the designated centres that
will be shown in the

form, while registration Portal for the
examination closes on 2nd April, 2023.

The statement directed all interested candidates

The Ekiti State Government has called on the general public and
interested indigenes that the free online registration for the 85
Nigerian Army Regular Recruits Intake for Trade/Non-Tradesmen and
Women has commenced.

According to a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary Cabinet and
Special Services Mrs Oyeyemi Kayode-Ojo application had since
commenced from Monday 13th of March and will end on 14th of April,
2023.

Interested candidates are enjoined to apply and summit online and as
well print a copy of the completed form and the guarantor’s form at
http://recruitment.army.mil.ng.

According to the statement applicants must be a Nigerian citizen by
birth and must posses a National Identity Card.

Also applicants for Non-Tradesmen/Women must be between the age of 18
and 22 years while applicants for Tradesmen/Women must be between the
age of 18 and 26 years by 31st April, 2023.

The Permanent Secretary said that applicants must posses a minimum of
four(4) passes in not more than two(2) sittings in
WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB including English Language and must be
medically, physically and Psychologically fit and measure in height
not less than 1.68 metres for men and 1.65 metres for women.

The statement added that candidates applying as Tradesmen/Women must
also possess Trade Text/City Guide certificate.

Mrs Kayode-Ojo said that non indigenes who reside in Ekiti State are
advised to go to their respective States for the recruitment exercise
as Nigerian languages other than the mother tongue of the applicants
would be an added advantage.

The Ekiti State screening Exercise for the shortlisted candidates who
applied for the recruitment as Non- Tradesmen /women into the Nigeria
Army will commence on Monday, 8th May,2023.

All shortlisted
 candidates are expected to appear at the recruitment ground in their
Blue shorts, White t-shirts, white canvas shoe and with all relevant
credentials.

The release added that candidates are to verify their names by

Ekiti SSG Meets Female Councilors*
….Praises Fayemi, Oyebanji administrations for women development


 The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Dr Habibat Adubiaro has met
with elected female Councillors from the 16 Local Government areas of
the state, who were on a courtesy visit to her office in Ado Ekiti.

Addressing the local government female legislators, Mrs Adubiaro said
she was happy and impressed seeing women engaged in active politics
because it shows that brighter future awaits women in the state.

She said, “I am very happy to meet you. I feel happy and impressed
anytime I see women holding political positions whether elected or
appointed. It makes me to know that we women have a brighter future.

While commending the leadership of the immediate past administration
in the state for according women the right places in the government,
Dr Adubiaro showered encomium on the present First lady of the state,
Dr Olayemi Oyebanji for towing the footsteps of her predecessor, Erelu
Bisi Fayemi in championing the good cause of women in Ekiti state.

The SSG added that, Ekiti remains the only state in Nigeria that
assigns more roles to women, with an appreciation to the state
Governor for entrusting women with sensitive positions in the state.



“In the past, women were not assigned with any tangible role to play.
We were used as means of mobilization and entertainment but thanks to
the immediate past Governor of Ekiti state, Dr John Kayode Fayemi and
the present Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for according women
recognition and assigning them with tangible role play in their
administrations.


The University Don used the opportunity provided by the meeting to
counsel female political office holders to exercise good moral
attitude in any position they find themselves.

“I want to plead with all women that wherever we are, let’s help one
another. Let’s be humble and submissive to our husbands”

Earlier the coordinator for forum of Ekiti State Female Councillors,
Hon. Mrs.Ayorinde Sabtiyu congratulated the SSG on her appointment and
expressed their satisfaction over her performance in office. The forum
called for more opportunities for women and wished the SSG success in
office.
