Ekiti State Pension Commission
Vision:
- To be world-class Pension Commission committed to overall well-being of all workforce in the State from cradle to groove.
Our Mission
- The Commission shall regulate and supervise the Scheme.
- Approve and maintain a list of approved PFAs, PFCs and other institutions relating to pension matters as the National Pension Commission.
- Issue guidelines for the investment of pension funds.
- Ensure maintenance of databank of pensioners in the state.
- Carry out public awareness and education on the establishment and management of the scheme.
- Receive, investigate and mitigate complaints of impropriety leveled against any PFA, PFC, or employer or any other staff or agent of any employee or former employee.
- Liaise with the National Pension Commission from time to time.
- Ensure payment of existing pensioners.
- Promote and offer technical assistance in the application of the Contributory Pension Scheme by the State and Local Governments.
- Perform such other duties which in the opinion of the Commission are necessary or expedient for the discharge of its functions.
The law provides that there shall be 4 (four) specialized departments in the Commission.
These are:
- Administration
- Technical and Inspectorates
- Investment and Compliance; and
- Finance and Accounts.
However, the following Units are placed under the direct supervision of the Permanent Secretary:
- Audit
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT); and
- Information.
