…describes him as a living legend

The Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has felicitated with a former Osun State Governor, Chief Bisi Akande, who turned 80 years old on Wednesday, describing him as a living legend and perfect example of talent and hard work.

Governor Fayemi in a personally signed congratulatory letter to Chief Akande, said he considered it a great privilege for him to work and walk with the former All Progressives Congress (APC) Interim National Chairman, whom he described as a man of integrity.

He described Chief Akande as a pride and leading light of the progressive school of thought “a true, committed, passionate and loyal Awoist deserving of all admiration”.

The Governor said: “I celebrate you today as always because you have been a great boss and a wonderful mentor. I will forever cherish the chance of working and walking with you to make life more meaningful for our people. Thank God for giving me this priceless opportunity and thank you for being there to nurture me with your infectious patience and humility.

“You are a living legend, the youngest and most active 80-year old man that I have known. You definitely wear 80 years well. I can only hope and pray that I retain the level of mental acuity you exhibit when I turn 80.

“On behalf of the government and the good people of Ekiti State, I join your well wishers and mentees to celebrate you today and wish you all the good things this milestone offers. Above all, I wish you good health, undiluted joy and perfect bliss. ” He added.
